Can’t Decide On A Type Of Flooring? Select A Room For Our Advice :
FAQ’s for 121 Flooring
Do you require rooms to be a certain size before you’ll provide and fit a floor? Absolutely not. 121 Flooring supply and fit flooring for all rooms of any size and any shape. No job is too small.
Where can I install laminate flooring? Laminate flooring is a very versatile product, however there are a couple of restrictions on where it can be installed. As it is a wood-based product we do not recommend installing it in any wet locations such as bathrooms, wet rooms, saunas, enclosed porches, verandas, or anywhere that might require wet mop cleaning. Laminate flooring cannot be laid on top of any existing underlay or carpets: these must be completely removed before installation. It is not recommended that laminate flooring is installed in outdoor locations, and although it is compatible with under-floor heating a suitable underlay must be installed first.
Can I see samples of your products before committing to a purchase? If so, how do I get the samples? We absolutely recommend that you look through a variety of samples before making your final choice. We will happily deliver to you a range of samples that fit the style you’re looking for with no pressure to buy. Simply give us a call or send an enquiry form with your details on and we will get a sample pack round to you ASAP.
If I select a hardwood floor, will it vary much from the sample pack? The sample packs we provide are representative of colour and style. The actual grains and knots of the wood, as a natural product, will vary from plank to plank, so your purchased product will not be an exact replica of what you see in your sample pack, but will be the same colour and the same style. Over time, your hardwood floor may change colour, as is the beauty of owning a natural product.
How can you ensure consistent quality amongst your product range? We take great care in only providing products that we assess to be of a good standard. As a matter of pride, we will not install products that we know will not guarantee that the customer is completely happy. Having had 30 years of experience, we have come to know the brands of flooring materials that provide the greatest satisfaction for our customers, and have built a good relationship with the manufacturers of these favoured products. We also apply a strict measurement of quality to each product that passes through the company, which includes inspecting each panel of wood, checking the quality of the fibres in the carpets, and meticulously searching for scratches or other imperfections that might devalue the quality of the floor.
If laminate flooring isn’t supposed to be mopped, how do I clean it? Our laminated products come with a care manual that explains the best materials to use to clean your product. In general, vacuuming, sweeping and dusting is good enough for the general day-to-day maintenance. There are special laminate floor cleaning solutions available. If you should want to purchase one of these solutions, we are more than happy to advise you on the products that we think are worth the buy.
I’m not sure what product will be best suited to my needs. If I ask for your advice, will I be pressured to make a purchase? Absolutely not! Our aim is to make sure that you are in the best knowledge of what type of floor is best for your home. Whilst we are confident that we would be able to provide you with the best floor for you at the best price, we appreciate that some people simply need advice and aren’t looking to make a purchase just yet. We also appreciate that customers may want to shop around first and get advice from several flooring companies before they make a commitment.
