How can you install wood flooring?

Wood flooring can typical be fitted via three methods

  1. The floating floor: This is when the floor is installed with an underlay and the boards are either fitted together with a 5G fitting system or glued together with a wood adhesive
  2. Gluedown: The most popular method of installation is using a rubberised glue to stick the floor to the subfloor, this creates a solid finish and minimises movement once glue has set
  3. Secret nailed: The old school method of installing wooden floors on top of wood or chipboard subfloors, can sometimes be paired with the gluedown method for extra strength
